Philippe Collard, born in France, is a trained electronics engineer. After moving to Los Angeles in 1983, he embarked on a diverse career in fields such as medical imaging, space, and software, particularly in Silicon Valley. Throughout his career, he had the opportunity to lead several companies, create subsidiaries for French companies in the United States, and serve as a mentor to many entrepreneurs. Today, his goal is to share his knowledge and support entrepreneurs in growing their businesses.
In 2020, Philippe met Samy, the founder of CAPSolar, on LinkedIn. At the time, CAPSolar was still in its early stages, but Philippe was immediately drawn to Samy's ambition and the renewable energy sector, particularly sustainable mobility. He decided to actively support CAPSolar's development.
For the past four years, Philippe has been helping the company navigate its challenges and growth. According to him, his role is not to tell Samy or the company what to do, but rather to "put things into perspective" using his experience. He provides both moral and strategic support, helping the startup navigate the various challenges it faces.
Philippe is confident in CAPSolar's potential, particularly due to its innovative approach to custom solar panels. He strongly believes in the company's mission and growth prospects and continues to provide strategic support to help CAPSolar overcome its challenges and reach its goals.
